When it comes to nutrition, there are many diets to help us lose weight and balance our hormones and if you have tried some or many of them you would have realised that achieving weight loss can be challenging using a ‘one size fits all approach’. After all, our metabolism, hormones, height, weight, food sensitivities and food preferences are individual to us. That is what makes the Metabolic Balance® program so unique in that the program is individualised for you.

Metabolic Balance® is a wholefood nutritional program that is based on 25 years of scientific study and offered through qualified practitioners worldwide, including Naturopaths who have undergone training in the Metabolic Balance® program. It is a natural solution for any one suffering from metabolic or hormone dysfunction such as diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopausal symptoms, weight issues, high cholesterol or high blood pressure.

The program starts with a full health consultation whereby your nutritional goals and health requirements are discussed. Referrals for blood tests for 35 essential blood values are required together with information about your desired health goals, food preferences, ongoing medical conditions and medications to generate your individualised plan. Your 4 Phase Plan includes a menu plan and shopping list that will provide your body with the foods and nutrients it needs – no supplements, shakes or bars! One key to the success of the program is the professional support that you receive over the course of 7 sessions.

Due to the sound scientific foundation of this program, it has had extraordinary worldwide success. Studies prove the Metabolic Balance® program is both an effective weight loss tool and a permanent solution to yo-yo dieting.

 

What is Metabolic Balance ?

Metabolic Balance® is a nutritional program based on wholefoods to help you achieve optimal weight and well-being. An individualised eating plan and food list is developed for you based on current lab data, body measurements, medication and food preferences.

By adhering to the program and 8 key rules, your metabolism and optimal weight is restored allowing for long term sustainable results. There are no shakes or meal replacements with this four phase program, only real food providing you with all of the essential nutrients your body needs to return to a state of balance and natural insulin secretion.

The benefits of eating as nature intended enables you to gain a greater awareness of your own body and how well you feel when eating real food in the correct portions. With correction of your metabolism you may experience:

At your initial consultation your Naturopath will discuss the program to ensure that Metabolic Balance® is the right program for you. Information is gathered for preparing your personal plan including medical history, food preferences and measurements.

To ensure you receive the support and education you need to achieve your health goals, the program is offered as a package which includes your individualised program and seven coaching sessions over 3 months. Should you require ongoing support, a package with 5 coaching sessions is also available.

Program Outline

The following is an outline of the Metabolic Balance® Program for three months comprising 7 x thirty minute coaching sessions:

  • Session 1:

    Issue of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of your personalised nutritional plan and a shopping list. You are counselled on the rules of the plan including your food list and where to source foods listed on your plan.

  • Session 2:

    Progress is measured after 5 days on the strict adjustment phase of the program including a weigh-in, body measurements and diet recall. Tips on how to address food cravings are discussed with strategies.

  • Session 3:

    Progress is monitored after 14 days on the strict adjustment phase. Dietary factors including healthy fats & dietary habits are discussed. Strategies are provided for any dietary/lifestyle challenges that may be encountered. Recipe handouts are provided.

  • Session 4:

    After one month on the program your progress is monitored including weight and measurements. Information is given on treat meals - everyone looks forward to that!

  • Session 5:

    This is a six week progress check. Obstacles to success are discussed, including mindset and coaching support is provided.

  • Session 6:

    Recommended at weeks 9 and 12 of the program respectively, this includes a progress check and taking of measurements.

If you are close to achieving your weight loss goals Phase 3 & Phase 4 of your nutritional program is issued. Continued coaching support is recommended if your weight loss goals have not been achieved.
